Five Palestinian workers were injured, on Sunday evening, after Israeli soldiers stationed at Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing, between the Gaza Strip and Israel, attacked and clubbed them while heading back home from work.Several workers who were at the checkpoint told the Maan News Agency that soldiers only opened one route of the crossing forcing the workers to jam near the route and wait for several hours.
Soldiers attacked and clubbed the workers while waiting to be inspected and allowed to cross, several workers were injured.
One of the workers said that they are forced to walk for a distance of 1500 meters until they reach the inspection points, then they are forced to wait for periods which could extend for several hours.
The worker added that soldiers also installed additional inspection points some hundred meters away from the main checkpoint at the crossing.
Soldiers are using several search machines which includes computerized equipment and machines to inspect the bodies of the workers.
