Israeli army forces posted at the military checkpoint at Al Aroop refugee camp, north of the West Bank city of Hebron, stopped students from the camp from arriving to their schools on Monday morning.

Israeli army sources claim the students were throwing stones at army jeeps, but eyewitnesses contradict that account.

Soldiers stopped the school buses, searched them and detained the students for several hours before sending them back to the camp, causing scores of students to miss school for the day, eyewitnesses reported.

Such practices by the army are becoming more regular and escalating more each day, say residents of the camp.
