Israeli police issued unjustified speeding tickets to Palestinian drivers driving between the villages of Ein Al Bida and Bardalah in the northern Jordan valley, on Monday morning.

The drivers said that police chased some of them and issued tickets with extremely high fines without any justification.  The Palestinians claimed that they were not breaking the law in any way, and felt that they were targetted simply for being Palestinian.  Some of the targetted drivers noted that Israeli settler cars (which are easily identifiable because of their different-colored license plate) were able to speed past without the Israeli police ticketing them.
