Israeli troops imposed, on Saturday morning, curfew over the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem, after a settler’s vehicle collided with a Palestinian vehicle.
The Palestine News Network, PNN, reported that the Israeli vehicle was speeding on a bypass road leading to Bitar Elite settlement.
Bitar Elite is a settlement which was built on Palestinian lands annexed from the residents of the villages of Nahhalin and Wadi Fokkeen, near Bethlehem.
As the Palestinian woman was driving her vehicle towards Husan, the speeding settlers’ vehicle plowed into her car; the woman was seriously injured.
One settler was seriously injured, and another one was moderately wounded.
Following the accident, dozens of Israeli military vehicles arrived at the scene and imposed curfew over the area after closing the street to Palestinian traffic.
The curfew was lifter later on after the army investigated the incident and found out that the accident was not “an act carried by Palestinian resistance fighters”.
All of the injured, including the Palestinian woman, were transferred by the army to Hadassah Ein Karem Israeli Hospital, in Jerusalem.
