The Maan news agency reported that the Palestinian Authority (PA) has launched a campaign to confiscate all compact discs that contain images of Al-Qaeda slaughtering hostages, a security source reported.

A video library owner apparently collected these disturbing images and videos from the internet, compiled them onto CDs and is now selling them in Palestinian areas.

The campaign was launched after families complained to PA security that their children were watching bloody images, disturbing videos and racist speeches on the computer.

Salah Al-Ta’mari, the governor of Bethlehem, said that these merchants are making a big mistake by providing this material for children to watch.

"Yes, we support free speech, yet we are against spreading terror among people and children because it creates conflict between the religious sects," Al-Ta’mari added.
