The Israeli army killed Mahmoud Shahin from Ein Al-Sultan refugee camp near the West Bank city of Jericho during an invasion to the city Wednesday morning.

A number of Israeli military vehicles stormed the city, caring out home inspections in several city neighborhoods.

Eyewitnesses told said Israeli soldiers shot Mahmoud Shahin in the head and heart “without warning or regard.”

The Israeli army claimed they handed the security control over to the Palestinian Authority in April 2005 after the Sharm Al-Sheikh summit between former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas.

Jericho had two checkpoints on the two entrances to the city before April.  After the alleged Israeli withdrawal from the city and the exchange of security control to the PA, the two military checkpoints remained in their places, making no change on the everyday life of those who need to enter and exit the city.
