Six Palestinian political factions called on the Palestinians and the
clashing Hamas and Feteh members to end the internal clashes adding
that a failure of restoring calm and protecting the Palestinian
interests and people is a failure in implementing the National Unity
Document.

The six factions that signed the appeal are the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Palestinian People Party, the Palestinian Democratic Union, the National Struggle Front and the Palestinian National Initiative.

They appealed all factions, mainly the rival Fateh and Hamas parties, to stop all form of violence, withdrew arms from the streets and resume internal talks and negotiations.

The factions added that these clashes only serve the interests of the Israeli occupation and threaten the national interests of the Palestinian people.

Nine Palestinians were killed on Sunday clashes in the Gaza Strip, at least 100 residents were injured.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Interior Minister, Said Siyam, from the ruling Hamas party, said that Israel is the only beneficial of these internal clashes and added that an agreement has been reached to redeploy the Executive Force that belongs to the Interior Ministry, and to end all sorts of public display of weapons in the Gaza Strip.

Last night, Siyam held a meeting with heads of Security Forces under the supervision of an Egyptian security delegates. He said that all security devices must participate in restoring calm and added that these forces must cooperate with President Abbas and Prime Minister Ismail Haniyya in order to restore law and order.

Siyam added that he agreed with heads of security devices to investigate all violations and transfer the file to the attorney general office in order to file charges against anyone or group that is involved in the these violations and attacks.

Moreover, Siyam slammed the attacks against the Palestinian vice Prime Minister Nasser Ed Deen Al Sha’er, in Nablus in the northern part of the West Bank.
