Israeli troops evacuated, on Thursday evening, four residents in the
eastern neighborhood of Tulkarem, in the northern part of the West
Bank. The attack was carried out after under-cover forces infiltrated
into Tulkarem before the army and military vehicles invaded it.

The attack was aimed at abducting two brothers; one of them is Atef Abu Safaqa, member of the Al Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of Fateh, while the second is his brother Mo'min, member of the Al Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad.

Both brothers managed to flee their home before the army surrounded and broke into it.

After the under-cover forces surrounded the house and attacked it, soldiers backed by dozens of armoured vehicles invaded Tulkarem while soldiers broke into the house of the two brothers and fired inside it.

The parents of the two brothers fainted and were transferred to a local hospital, medical sources reported.

Soldiers abducted the Mohammad Abdul-Latif Abu Safaqa, the brother of the two fighters, along with Waleed Shqeir, Waleed Nassasra, and a fourth residents who remained unknown.
