Israeli forces invaded the village of Alar north of the West Bank city of Tulkarem and searched and ransacked residents' houses on Thursday morning.

Troops stormed the village and attacked residents' houses. One of the houses attacked belongs to Makawi Shadid, who said that troops forced him and his family out of their house, searched it and turned their rooftop into a makeshift army post there. Soldiers also detained his son Tamer inside the house.

In the meantime, another force set up a military checkpoint at the village entrance where soldiers are stopping and searching cars going in and out of the village, local sources reported.
