Israeli settlers, on Saturday, cut down 300 olive trees on Palestinian owned land in the southern occupied West Bank, according to a local official.

Hasan Breijieh, a member of the Anti-Wall, Anti-Settlements Commission, told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that the illegal colonial settlers cut the trees in an area close to an illegal settlement, between the Palestinian cities of Bethlehem and Hebron.

Breijieh said the settlers are taking full advantage of the lockdown imposed to stop the spread of on the Bethlehem governorate to cut trees in Palestinian lands.

In related news, illegal Israeli settlers damaged 40 grapevines and 10 olive trees belonging to Hisham Mohammad Sbeih, on Wednesday, in al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem city.
