The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained a total of 417 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and the blockaded Gaza Strip in the month of October, ALRAY reported.

Prisoner and human rights organizations released a fact sheet Sunday, that the IOF detained 75 children and 16 women.

The following is a breakdown of where the Palestinian detainees were arrested from;

Jerusalem – 188
Hebron – 60
Ramallah and al-Bireh – 30
Talkarem – 26
Jenin – 22
Bethlehem – 22
Nablus – 22
Qalqilya – 21
Tubas – 5
Salfit – 3
Jericho – 9
Gaza – 9

At the end of October 2019, there were approximately 5000 Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails.

This number included 40 women, 200 children, and over 540 administrative detainees. In addition, there were 85 new administrative detention orders.
