The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) appealed Saturday for saving the life of Palestinian female prisoner Noura Jaber, 34, who is being imprisoned under administrative detention at the Telmond detention facility.
In a statement released by the PPS, Jaber has been suffering from kidney failure over the past six months, while the Telmond’s administration has so far denied her access to proper medication, thus endangering her life.
The statement appealed to concerned international bodies such as the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to intervene to save her life.
Noura was taken prisoner last September and was transferred to Etsion and Asqalan detention centers, where she has been serving a six-month administrative detention. Israel still holds at least 9,000 Palestinians including more than 300 women in various concentration camps and detention facilities.
