The Ahrar Detainees Study Center reported on Thursday that the Israeli Authorities deported a Palestinian female detainees to Jordan after subjecting her to nearly three months of ongoing interrogation. The detainee, Ahlam Jawhar, 30, from Huwwara village near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, was kidnapped by the army on January 23, 2008, and was under interrogation since then at the Petah Tikva Israeli interrogation facility.
After failing to pressure her to “confess”, the Israeli security decided to deport her to Jordan.
Jawhar is a human rights activists and an activists defending the rights of women, she is also a volunteer at Friends of Humanity International.
The Center voiced an appeal to the international and local human rights groups to counter the Israeli violations and to aid Jawhar in order to be able to return back to her homeland.
