The International Solidarity Society for Human Rights issued its monthly report on Tuesday documenting Israeli army violations of Palestinian human rights in the West Bank and the Gaza strip. The month which covers the period from Feb. 27th to March 30th 2008, shows that the Israeli army have killed 126 Palestinians in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. According to the report, the Israeli army killed 115 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and 11 in the West Bank. Among the 126 killed were 16 children, the report stated. In addition the report shows that the army extra-judicially assassinated 115 Palestinians – 110 in Gaza and 5 in the West Bank- of those 126 killed by army fire during the reported period. The human rights group also stated that the army kidnapped at least 650 Palestinians in the month of March 2008. Among those kidnapped were 200 Palestinian workers who were kidnapped by the Israeli army police because they entered Israel for work without the necessary permits which iare rarely granted to Palestinian workers. The International Solidarity Society noted in their report that the Israeli army increased the violations of international Human Rights law during its attacks on the Palestinians. The report also noted that among those kidnapped were journalists in addition to workers of Palestinians charitable societies. Regarding the attacks on Palestinian Media stations the reports noted that the army closed two radio stations in the northern West Bank city of Jenin and attacked two radio stations in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
