Palestinian sources in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, reported that a group of fighters survived an Israeli assassination attempt when an Israeli drone fired three missiles at their jeep on Tuesday evening. The fighters manage to escape unharmed while a passerby was injured and was hospitalized at Nasser Hospital in Kan Younis.
Palestine-Info, a Hamas-run news website reported that the fighters are members of the Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the movement.
The website added that Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, reported that the injured civilian suffered moderate wounds.
On Wednesday at dawn, fighters fired homemade shelled at Nahal Oz military base and the Israeli Negev town of Sderot.
On Tuesday, several Palestinian resistance groups fired homemade shells at Israeli areas adjacent to the Gaza Strip. The firing of homemade shells targeted the Sderot, Asqalan (Ashkelon) and several other areas.
Fighters also exchanged fire with Israeli troops barricading themselves in a home in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Fighters also shelled Karem Abu Salim (Kerem Shalom) crossing with three homemade shells.
The groups stated that the shelling comes in retaliation to the ongoing Israeli assaults and offensives in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
