Palestinian medical sources reported that one fighter was killed on Wednesday and five residents were wounded in an Israeli air strike that targeted an area east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. 14 residents were injured in several Israeli attacks. Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli fighter-jet fired at least one missile at a group of residents who gathered in Al Faraheen area, east of Khan Younis.
Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Department at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, reported that the slain fighter was identified as Mahmoud Abu Musalam, 22, member of the Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad.
Dr. Hassanen added that nineteen residents were wounded by Israeli military attacks in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. At least six residents were wounded in an Israeli air strike that targeted an area in Abasan town, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Hassanen said that six of the wounded are in critical conditions. Five were identified as Salim Arafat, Fatima Shaheen, Monatser Abu Anza, Waleed Abu Daqqahand Hamada Abu Doqqa.
The assaults started since early dawn hours on Wednesday as the army invaded the area, broke into and searched dozens of homes. Soldiers also topped several home and used some of them as monitoring towers.
Troops bulldozed dozens of Dunams of lands planted with Olive trees, Lemon trees, Almonds, and wheat. Most of the lands belong to the families of Al Daghma, Abu Arafat and Abu Shaheen.

Palestinian sources reported that one Palestinian was killed and seven injured as the Israeli army attack a group of resident in Khan Younis town in the southern part of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses said that an Israeli unmanned airplane fired a missile at a group of resident killing Mohamed Abu Musalam, 22, and injuring seven other, three critical.
