The Israeli army authorities reopened on Thursday afternoon the Sufa commercial crossing in southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources told media outlets earlier that the Israeli authorities closed the main food aid artery for Gaza’s 1.5 residents in the shadow of the Israeli strict closure of the region since June2007.
On Thursday, the crossing was supposed to operate from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm but it was closed earlier in the day, preventing entry of food aid and other essential items, the sources added.
Today, a cross-border Palestinian attack on the northern Gaza Strip Israeli checkpoint of Eritz failed after a Palestinian bomber drove explosives-laden truck onto one of the checkpoint’s gates.
