The Israeli army invaded Deheisheh refugee camp south of Bethlehem early Wednesday, and injured an unarmed Palestinian boy.

Eye witnesses reported that a number of Israeli military vehicles invaded the camp at dawn. Troops shot grenades, live rounds and sound bombs at random, wounding a sixteen year old boy with shrapnel from a bullet. The actual purpose of the incursion is still unclear.

Medical sources reported that the boy was transferred to a local hospital and he is suffering from a moderate injury.
