A group of five Israeli settlers attacked on Tuesday two international volunteers at the village of Towani in the southern west Bank.

The two are members of the Christian Peace Makers Teams (CPT) and were walking a Palestinian family to the nearby village of Tuba when settlers attacked them. The two sustianed light wounds

CPT told IMEMC over the phone that the settlers came from the nearby illegal settlement of Havat Ma’on.

Villagers of Al-Towani and Tuba are facing constant harassment by the settlers of Havat Ma’on, CPT workers, who have been in Hebron since 1995, try to ease the mobility of the villagers, as one of their interventions to reduce violence in Hebron.
