The News Cast

The Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, reported that two of its fighters were killed on Tuesday at dawn in an explosion that took place in a home near Al Shijaeyya neighborhood in Gaza.

The two slain fighters were identified as Mohammed Shaban An-Nawati, 29, and Ahmad Mohammed Abu Ghanima, 25. Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Department at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, stated that four Palestinians were injured in the blast.

The Al Qassam Brigades said that the two were killed “while performing a Jihadist mission”.

Earlier on Tuesday at dawn three Palestinians suffered mild-to-moderate wounds after the Israeli Air Force shelled the ‘Tunnels Area’ in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The wounded residents were moved to a local hospital while dozens of others rushed out of their homes fearing additional strikes.

In related news, the Israeli Air Force bombarded a blacksmith workshop in Al Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza city causing excessive damage.

The shelling came only an hour after a resistance group fired a homemade shell at the Western Negev.

In other news, the Israeli military kidnapped on Tuesday at dawn eight Palestinian civilians during pre dawn invasions targeting a number of west Bank communities.

According to local sources Israeli troops searched and ransacked homes in the city of Ramallah, central West Bank, and Hebron city in the south as well as Qalqilia city in the north. The Israeli army radio announced that all those kidnapped were taken to military detention camps for questioning.
