Palestinian sources reported Thursday that nine physicians, including a professor in medicine, arrived in the central West Bank city of Ramallah to perform delicate surgeries. Omar al-Nasr, head of the Public Relations Office at the Ministry of Health In Ramallah, said that Palestinian Minister of Health, Dr. Fathi Abu Maghly, personally welcomed the visiting physicians.

They will be performing several surgeries, including heart surgeries, at the Ramallah governmental hospital.

Al-Nasr added that one of the physicians previously performed a surgery on the late president, Yasser Arafat, and upon arriving in Ramallah, he insisted to personally visit the grave on the late presidents and place flowers.

President Mahmoud Abbas will officially receive the visiting physicians at his Ramallah office.
