The Israeli army had to cancel an invasion into a West Bank village to kidnap Palestinians after an Israeli soldier posted on his facebook page details regarding the invasion, its timing and the targeted areas. Israeli Army Radio reported that the “arrest raid in the West Bank had to be voided” after the soldier published details on the intended attack.

The Radio stated that the soldier published the information nearly two weeks ago when he wrote “We will clean Qutna [a Palestinian village west of Ramallah], and on Thursday we will be back home”.

He also mentioned that name of his brigade, the place and the timing of the offensive.

Some of his colleagues saw the post, and informed his commanders on the issue.

The soldier was court marshaled and was prevented from participating in any combat operation. He was sentenced to 10 days imprisonment.
