As military attacks reported this week in Gaza and the West Bank, the Israeli government announced a military resolution which could lead to the deportation of thousands of Palestinian residents from the West Bank. These stories and more coming up stay tuned.
The Nonviolence Report
Let’s begin our weekly report with the non-violent activities in the West Bank, this week the activists were in solidarity with the Palestinian political detainees held in Israel. Palestinians mark Prisoners Day on April 17th of every year. IMEMC’s George Hanson with the story:
The political Report
This week the Israeli government announced a military resolution which could lead to the deportation of thousands of Palestinian residents from the West Bank. Palestinian and Arab organizations have reacted angrily to the Israeli move. IMEMC’s George Rishmawi reports
The Israeli Attacks
This week Israeli troops conducted at least 23 military incursions into Palestinian communities in the West Bank. During the attacks soldiers detained 22 Palestinian civilians, including two children. In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military conducted 3 limited invasions into Palestinian areas, during which two Palestinian houses were damaged. IMEMC’s Rami Al Meghari with the details:
