A number of civilians were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation and one child was detained by soldiers when they attacked anti wall protest at the Wallajeh village near Bethlehem, southern West Bank.
The villagers of Al Wallajeh along with international and Israeli supporters marched on Tuesday towards their lands were Israeli is building the wall and demanded the halt of construction.
Troops used tear gas to suppress the protest and detained 14 year old Nabeel Hajahjah from the village and took him to unknown location.
Last Thursday Israel resumed wall construction at the Wallageh village. Farmers say bulldozers have so far destroyed about 10 old olive trees that date to the Roman Era.
