Two Palestinian citizens were injured and dozens of suffocations occurred due to the attacks of the Israeli military forces to the participants in the weekly anti-wall protest in the town of Bil’in west of Ramallah on Friday.Witnesses said that Israeli soldiers shot rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades, and gas towards the participants, resulting in the injury of two civilians, including one child.
The village of Bil’in has been organizing weekly nonviolent protests against the wall since 2005, as the construction of the wall will result in the loss of more than half of the village’s land.
In addition to the regular demonstrations, the villagers of Bil’in filed a law suit against the Israeli military. The Israeli court ruled part of the wall to be re-routed, which saved almost half of the confiscated land.
The Bil’in villagers vowed to continue resisting the wall until they retrieve the rest of their land.
