Palestinian medical sources report that at least 20 Palestinians were injured, on Sunday night, during clashes that took place with Israeli soldiers and policemen in the town of Silwan in occupied East Jerusalem.The sources added that most of the residents suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Soldiers and policemen were intensively deployed at the entrances of the town, preventing the residents from entering or leaving.
Local sources said that the clashes extended to the neighborhoods of Batn al-Hawa, Wadi Hilwa and al-Bustan.
Hundreds of policemen were deployed in the areas while undercover forces also attacked the protestors and fired gas bombs at several homes.
