The Wadi Hilwah Information Center, based in Silwan, East Jerusalem, are reporting the use of live ammunition by Israeli soldiers, on Friday.The Center reports that clases have erupted between local youths and Israeli soldiers, with the soldiers using live ammunition, in the neighborhood of Baten el-Hawa, in the Silwan region of East Jerusalem.
Furthermore, the young Palestinian residents have responded to the use of live gun fire by throwing molotov cocktails at the soldiers.
Following the eruption of the clashes, the Israeli military has erected roadblocks and checkpoints a the entrances of the Wadi Hilwah area, and are searching vehicles and pedestrians passing in and out of the neighborhood.
No injuries have been reported.
