The Hamas movement strongly denounced an Israeli decision to approve the construction of additional 1500 units for Jewish settlers in Pisgat Zeev and Abu Ghneim (Har Homa) illegal settlements in occupied East Jerusalem.The movement issued a press release denouncing the “escalating Israeli violations and illegal constructions of Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, including in occupied East Jerusalem”.
It said that the new decision is another example of Israel’s racist policies, based on land theft, changing the demography and geography of Jerusalem, and the ongoing violations against the holy sites.
The movement further stated that the Israeli violations, invasions and attacks would only lead the Palestinians to more steadfastness in their lands, and that the people will resist the occupation and will defend their lands.
