On Wednesday, a number of Israeli settlers set fire to a tractor belonging to a Palestinian farmer, after trying to attack him in the neighbourhood of āArqabam, in the southern part of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, the Palestinian news agency Maāan reported.Ghassan Douglas, Palestinian liaison official in charge of Israeli settlements activities at the Palestinian National Authority, in the northern part of the West Bank, stated that settlers from the illegal settlement of āItamarā attacked the tractor, and then tried to assault the driver.
The driver was identified as Aāshraf Bani Jameā. He fled the scene when he saw the settlers approaching him.
Douglas said that the settlers have set fire to a part of the tractor in question. However, the residents succeeded in putting the fire out.
