The Israeli Army Radio reported Tuesday that Israeli soldiers exchanged fire with a group of gunmen on the Egyptian-Israeli border, adding that one gunman was killed during the clashes.The Radio state the soldiers noticed a group of 15 persons trying to infiltrate through the border fence, and that they refused to heed the soldiers demand to stop; the army then opened fire killing one while the rest fled back to the Egyptian side of the border.

Last week, the army said that its sappers located a bomb hidden in a bag that was placed near the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing at the Egyptian-Israeli border. The sapper then safely dismantled the bomb.
