Dozens of residents were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation after Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, the weekly nonviolent protest against the Wall and settlements, and against the closure of the main road that leads to the village.Earlier on Friday, the army invaded the village and prevented dozens of residents from reaching the village’s mosque, and also fired several gas bombs towards a number of homes leading to dozens of injuries.

On Friday at noon, the protesters started their weekly protest chanting slogans against the illegal Israeli occupation and its violations, and against the all racist attempts to smear Islam and its Prophet, Mohammad.

The army then attacked the protesters and fired gas bombs at them in addition to spraying them with waste-water mixed with chemicals leading to several injuries.

Media Coordinator of the weekly protests in Kufr Qaddoum, Morad Shtewy, stated that dozens of soldiers installed roadblocks at the entrances of the village, since early hours Friday, and declared the village and its lands as closed military zones in an attempt to prevent the residents from holding their weekly nonviolent protest.

He added that the army broke into the home of Adnan Ali, and kidnapped his three sons, Ehab, 35, Baker, 24, and Humam, 16. The soldiers also detained two Israeli peace activists identified as Yuval, 38, and Tal, 30, the PNN said.

Shtewy further stated that the army started using new armored vehicles in countering the nonviolent protests, and is now trying to move the clashes to the center of the village, in order to prevent the protesters from marching towards their lands, isolated by the Wall and subject to frequent settler attacks.

He said that despite all Israeli measures and violations, the residents and their supporters, are determined to continue their protests against Israel’s illegal occupation, its illegal Annexation Wall and its illegal settlements.
