Israeli military sources claimed Wednesday that a missile, fired by members of the Syrian army targeting a resistance group rebelling against the regime, landed in an open area close to an Israeli settlement in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.The Israeli Army said that the missile did not lead to any damages or injuries, the Palestine News Network (PNN) reported.
Israel TV, Channel 10, reported that this is the second time a shell, fired from Syria, lands in the Golan Heights, and added that, on Tuesday, several mortar shells landed and detonated in the area leading to no damages or injuries.
Israel said that it will be filing a complaint to the United Nations regarding missiles fired from the Syrian side.
Israeli military and security officials have instructed the army and the residents in the area to remain alert.
