An Israeli tank, on Saturday, fired a shell at an open area in Gaza City, according to local residents.Witnesses told Ma’an that Israeli tanks were stationed along the border facing the neighborhood of Shujaiyya, in the city, and that one fired a shell into a Palestinian field; no injuries were reported.
An Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma’an that no such event occurred.
On Friday, 13 people were injured by Israeli gunfire and four by tear gas while protesting, Gaza’s emergency services chief Ashraf al-Qidra told AFP.
