[Saturday, May 24 2014] Palestinian medical sources have reported that two Palestinians were killed, and two others were seriously injured, in an explosion in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, stated that the two were killed in what it called a “jihadist mission”, west of Khan Younis,
The Brigades identified the two fighters as Ahmad Haidar Fahjaan, 28, and Abdul-Salam Dahlan Yousef, 27.

The bodies of the two slain Palestinians, and the wounded, were moved to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

Dozens of fighters in the Gaza Strip have been previously killed in similar accidents, mainly during training, while others, along with Palestinian workers, died in siege-busting tunnels after they collapsed on them.

Many fighters died after the army fired missiles into the tunnels.
