The Israeli army escalation started on Friday June 13th as three Israeli settlers living in an illegal settlement near the southern West Bank city of Hebron went missing. Among the kidnapped Palestinians are 12 legislators, and two former government ministers, in addition to 51 former prisoners who were previously released under the Shalit Prisoner Swap Deal.
From his part, the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad al-Maliki asserted, that Israeli actions in the ongoing West Bank arrest campaign amount to war crimes. The FM condemned the silence of the international community over the ongoing Israeli aggression and crimes against the Palestinian people.
