Three Palestinian protesters were shot and injured Monday morning by live ammunition, alongside several others who suffocated from teargas inhalation during clashes which erupted in Yatta town, south Hebron.Local activist Rateb Jabour, of the Popular Anti-wall and Settlement Committee, told WAFA correspondence that residents of Yatta were rallying in solidarity with besieged Gaza, chanting slogans and denouncing Israel’s crimes against Gaza’s defenseless civilian population, and calling for the consolidation of Palestinian unity and the prosecution of Israeli officials.

Troops deployed at the northern entrance of the town fired live rounds and tear gas canisters into the crowd, seriously injuring three and suffocating a number of others.

3 Palestinians, including two brothers, aged 28 and 35 years, were taken captive by occupying Israeli forces after they broke into and ransacked their homes, according to further reports by Mr. Jabour.

Seven Palestinians from the village of Nahlin, in Bethlehem, including six between the ages of 16 and 19 were kidnapped on Monday as well.

Meanwhile, WAFA further reports that several Palestinians have been assaulted while visiting family gravesites in a cemetery just adjacent to the Jerusalem-Hebron Road.
