Israeli soldiers kidnapped seven Palestinians in different parts of the occupied West Bank, detained others, detained two, and prevented schoolgirls from reaching their school in Hebron.Media sources in Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, has reported that the army kidnapped two Palestinians in Balata refugee camp, and one at a roadblock in the al-Bathan area.
The two kidnapped in Balata have been identified as Mahmoud Eshteiwy and Rami Mershed.
The third Palestinian, who remained unidentified until the time of this report, was taken prisoner at a makeshift roadblock in the al-Bathan Valley area, after the soldiers stopped and searched several cars, and interrogated many Palestinians.
In addition, soldiers invaded several communities in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, and kidnapped one Palestinian in Bethlehem city.
The kidnapped Palestinian, Wajih Zuheir ‘Awwad, 25, was taken prisoner after the army invaded his home, and ransacked it.
Another Palestinian has also been kidnapped after the army invaded and ransacked his home in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem.
He has been identified as Mohammad Jarad Thawabta, 25.
On Saturday evening, soldiers clashed with dozens of local youth in ‘Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, and kidnapped Yousef Mohammad al-Jawareesh, 16.
On Sunday morning, soldiers prevented dozens of schoolgirls from reaching their school in the center of Hebron city.
They were heading to Qortoba School on the first school day of the new educational year.
School principal, Noura Nassar, stated that the soldiers, prevented the girls from crossing, and detained them at the roadblock installed at the entrance of the Shuhada’ Street since many years.
Soldiers frequently close the roadblock for no reason.
The soldiers eventually allowed the girls to cross, but prevented all other Palestinians from crossing.
On Saturday at night, soldiers detained two Palestinians at a military roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and assaulted a third Palestinian.
The Palestinian New & Info Agency (WAFA) stated the soldiers detained Suleiman Qassem Sharably, 31, and ‘Ali Yousef Nawahda, 28, at the Barta’a roadblock, and interrogated them for hours before releasing them.
Furthermore, soldiers stationed at the al-Jalama roadblock, near Jenin, assaulted resident Nasser Salahat, as he was heading for work in historic Palestine.
