Israeli occupation forces on Sunday notified seven Palestinian households in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, near Jericho city in the West Bank, about their intention to demolish their homes for lacking an Israeli construction permit.

According to WAFA, they were given a period of three weeks to leave their homes prior to implementing the demolition orders by the occupation authorities.

Although most of the land where the camp is built is located in Area A, under Palestinian administrative control, a little part of it is located Area C, under full Israeli control, where Israel refuses to permit any Palestinian construction. This has forced many Palestinians to embark on construction without an Israeli permit to shelter their families.
