Israeli troops shoot and kill a Palestinian teenager during invasions targeting west Bank communities. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.
Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday at dawn, the Deheishe refugee camp, in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, shot and killed a Palestinian teen, and wounded several others. Medical sources said the slain young man has been identified as Jihad Shehada al-Ja’fary, 19 years of age.
The sources added that al-Ja’fary was shot by a live round that penetrated his left shoulder, and lodged in his chest causing a severe bleeding. The soldiers prevented Palestinian medics from reaching the seriously wounded man, and he bled to death before the medics managed to move him to the al-Yamama hospital, in Bethlehem.
The slain Palestinian was standing on his home’s rooftop, overlooking the main road, when he was shot. Eyewitnesses said scores of soldiers invaded the camp in an attempt to kidnap a Palestinian, an issue that led to clashes between the soldiers and local youths who hurled stones and empty bottles on them.
The army fired gas bombs, rubber-coated metal bullets and rounds of live ammunition, causing several injuries. Later on Tuesday midday hundreds joined family members in the funeral of al-Ja’fary.
On Monday evening, a young Palestinian man suffered moderate wounds after being rammed by an Israeli car, belonging to a settler living in an illegal Israeli colony in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday at dawn, the village of Zabbouba, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and fired gas bombs causing several injuries. Army also invaded Jerusalem’s Old City, and kidnapped three Palestinian children.
Also on Tuesday, Israeli soldiers invaded, al-‘Ardeesa area in Sa’ir town, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and demolished an under-construction home.
Eyewitnesses said soldiers, military police officers of the Border Guards units, and employees of the Israeli “Civil Administration Office,’ invaded the area while accompanied by military bulldozers, and demolished a house belonging to resident Nassr Mousa Jaradat. The army gave no reason for demolishing the house.
