Israeli sources said, Tuesday, that a soldier was shot and injured by rounds of live ammunition, reportedly fired from the Syrian side.The sources said the wounded officer, who was shot in his hand, was part of a unit that was deployed near the border area, to evacuate a disabled bulldozer that needed to be towed away.
Israeli Ynet News said the soldier did not require further treatment, and continued to conduct his activities.
It added the soldier was part of an infantry brigade that routinely patrols kibbutz El-Rum.
The Ynet further stated that army did not change its directive to Israelis living in the area.
