Over 30,000 Israelis marched through the streets of the Muslim Quarter in East Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday, in commemoration of Israel’s 1967 occupation of the city.Police ‘sterilized’ the route of the march, closing Palestinian shops and preventing Palestinians from passing through the area. At least two Palestinians were arrested in clashes that broke out prior to the march. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated Sunday that Jerusalem has always been the capital of the Jewish people, and no others.
