Hackers claiming to be affiliated with the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) group defaced the official webpage of the leftist Palestinian People Party (PPP) on Wednesday.The cyber-attackers replaced the homepage of the site with an image that included a written text saying in bad English “hacked by r0x, Good Job Make Your Security, but! Try to make it again,” in addition to providing Skype and Hotmail addresses.
On its Facebook page, the PPP confirmed its main webpage was attacked by hackers claiming to be affiliated with the ISIS group, and advised the readers to be alert when trying to access the page.
The PPP webpage was still offline as of Thursday morning, with its front page showing “this page is not available”, instead of the image that the hackers uploaded.
