A Palestinian man killed by Israeli troops’ gunfire in the West Bank, and in Gaza Israeli tanks invade border areas attacking farmers. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday at dawn, the village of Burqin, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and clashed with local youths, before shooting dead a young Palestinian man. Medical sources in Jenin have reported that Mohammad Ahmad ‘Alawna, 21 years of age, suffered a serious gunshot injury to the chest, and was instantly moved to the Operations Room in the Jenin Hospital, where he died of wounds.

The sources said the live round struck the slain Palestinian below his heart, and that the seriously wounded young man was under surgery for approximately six hours. The Israeli army claimed the soldiers invaded Burqin in an attempt to arrest a “wanted Palestinian,” without revealing his name, and clashed with local youths, ‘who hurled stones and empty bottles on them.’

The soldiers fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition, in addition to rubber-coated metal bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.

Later on Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers kidnapped 120 Palestinian workers, allegedly for trying to enter Israel without work permits, through a trench near the Oranit illegal settlement, in the occupied West Bank. and were all moved to a number of interrogation centers.

The harsh economic conditions in the occupied territories pushes thousands of Palestinians to attempt to enter the Green Line, and risk their lives, in order to provide livelihood to their improvised families.

Also on Wednesday, Israeli forces, Wednesday, destroyed 450 olive trees, leveled land, and demolished a Roman-era water well in the village of Beit Ula in northwestern Hebron, after claiming the Palestinian land belonged to Israel, locals said. Also in Hebron, Israeli soldiers invaded, earlier on Wednesday, the old city part and the nearby town of Deir Samet, and kidnapped two young Palestinian men.

In Gaza, several armored Israeli military vehicles carried out, earlier on Wednesday, a limited invasion into Palestinian agricultural lands, north of Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Army also fired on farmers and their lands, in central Gaza. Damage was reported but no injuries.
