Israeli Troops Kidnap 18 Palestinians, Including 3 Children, Overnight

Israeli occupation forces abducted, overnight Thursday, 18 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank.Families reported, according to Days of Palestine, that large numbers of Israeli soldiers stormed homes, taking two Palestinians in Tulkarem, three in Nablus, two in Ramallah, four near Bethlehem and four near Al-Khalil (Hebron).

Popular Resistance Committee Coordinator Murad Ishtiwi said that occupation forces also took into custody three children from Kafr Qadoum, west of Qalqiliya, after ransacking their homes in the early morning.

Ishtiwi said that the Israeli troops raided Kafr Qadoum overnight and took Mohamed Nidal,18, Mohamed Ishtiwi, 20, and Sari Sameer, 17.

He added that the soldiers gave 14-year-old Subhi Mansur, as well as Akil Ishtiwi, 26, official orders to report to Israeli intelligence.

Israeli forces routinely detain Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, often on the pretext of perceived security threats, and Addameer estimates that 40 percent of the Palestinian male population has been arrested at some point.

Nearly 6,000 Palestinian prisoners are currently being held in Israeli jails, according to Ma’an News Agency.
