Groups of Israeli settlers carried out, Tuesday evening, a wide range of attacks against Palestinians in several residential homes surrounding the ‘Kiryat Arba’ settlement, east of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank. Local sources reported, according to Al Ray, that the group of settlers attacked, with stones, the residents’ home in Jawhar mountain, southern Hebron.
The settlers directly threw stones on Palestinian family homes and attempted to break into them, tightly guarded by Israeli forces.
Settler groups announced that the funeral procession of the settler who was killed in Al-Fawar square, south of Hebron, will take place at 12:30 AM of Wednesday morning in the settlers’ cemetery central of Hebron.
Residents in the Palestinian neighborhoods near the settlement fear any expected escalation of the settlers.
Since occupying East Jerusalem in 1967, Israel has constructed tens of thousands of homes for Jewish settlers while restricting Palestinian construction in the city, part of a broader policy of ‘Judaization’.
Today around 550,000 Jewish Israelis live in settlements across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law.
