The family of Palestinian detainee Mohammad Dawod, from Bethlehem, has informed the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) that he launched a hunger strike eight days ago, to protest his administrative detention.
PPS said, in a press release, that 34-year-old Dawod is detained without charge or trial in Ofer prison.
He was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison and served 5 years, before being released in the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange, in 2011, following an agreement between Israel and Hamas.
