Israeli occupation forces abducted three Palestinians, including a 12‑year‑old child, on Tuesday evening during a military deployment in the Old City of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
The soldiers were heavily deployed in several neighborhoods, stopping residents, inspecting their ID cards, and conducting searches throughout the evening.
Local sources said the soldiers abducted a child, Wadea’ Al‑Atrash, 12, in the Jaber neighborhood of the Old City.
When his father, Samer Al‑Atrash, attempted to intervene and convince the soldiers to release his son, the army assaulted him and then abducted him as well.
The soldiers also abducted a young man from the Sa’afin family in the same area after surrounding several streets and restricting the movement of residents.
Residents reported that Israeli forces intensified their presence across the Old City, installing temporary military roadblocks, stopping pedestrians, and subjecting young men and minors to repeated interrogations.
Several Palestinians were detained for field questioning before being released, while others were pushed back from the area as soldiers patrolled the narrow alleys and ordered shop owners to close early.
Witnesses added that the soldiers broke into and searched multiple homes in the Jaber and Sa’afin neighborhoods, causing fear among families and disrupting daily life.
The army’s presence created a tense atmosphere throughout the evening, with residents reporting that soldiers blocked movement between streets and restricted access to homes and workplaces.
On Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces invaded multiple areas across the West Bank, breaking into homes, abducting Palestinians, shooting two young men with live ammunition, and setting fire to a residential building during ongoing military operations in Jenin in the northern West Bank, Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, and Hebron in the southern West Bank.
