Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, breaking into homes, closing roads, and abducting dozens of Palestinians, including children, former detainees, and two minors from the Jenin refugee camp.
In the northern West Bank, undercover Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Deir al-Ghusoun, north of Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, and abducted Mahmoud Abdullah Abu Shaqra after breaking into his home.
In the northeastern area of Jenin, Israeli forces invaded the village of ‘Arrana at dawn, broke into several homes, and abducted Mohammad Abu Hanana after searching his family’s house. Additional homes in the village were also invaded and searched.
In the southern area of Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Qabatia, broke into the home of former detainee Laith Kamil, and abducted him.
Local sources reported that the soldiers had earlier detained several residents in the town and interrogated them before withdrawing with the abducted young man.
Israeli military vehicles also invaded the village of Deir Abu Da’if, east of Jenin, where soldiers broke into commercial facilities while army bulldozers began leveling a street in the area.
Separately, the Prisoners’ Information Office reported that after hours of losing contact with two minors from the Jenin refugee camp, the families of Suleiman Walid and Zakariya Shadi Samoudi were informed that the Israeli army was holding the two boys.
In Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city after an undercover unit infiltrated Wadi Street. Soldiers closed several roads, stopped and searched residents and vehicles, and broke into a café in the area, detaining a group of young men.
In Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces closed the At-Tal area in the town of Al-Khader and shut down the Schools Roundabout in the town’s old section.
The closure blocked access to the western villages of Battir, Nahalin, Husan, and Wadi Fukin, causing severe traffic congestion.
Soldiers also chased schoolchildren through the streets and alleys of the old town and along the main road leading to the area’s military gate.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces carried out one of the largest arrest campaigns in weeks, invading the town of Hizma east of the city at dawn and abducting around 20 Palestinians after breaking into their homes and damaging property.
The army closed all surrounding military roadblocks, sealed the town’s entrances, and blocked several side roads with earth mounds.
Soldiers also distributed leaflets threatening further punitive measures as part of an ongoing policy of collective punishment.
In response to the continued invasion, the Ministry of Education announced the suspension of school attendance and the postponement of exams until Thursday to protect students and staff.
Furthermore, the soldiers invade the town of al-Jeeb, northwest of Jerusalem, closed streets and fired many gas bombs.
In the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted a young man, Ezzeddine Walid Abu Saman, from the al-Far’a refugee camp south of Tubas after summoning him for interrogation at the Salem military base.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted five Palestinians from the Ramallah district, including four children from the village of At-Tira southwest of Ramallah.
The abducted minors were identified as Mohammad Ramzi Hussein Mohammad, Ahmad Bahaa Mohammad, Laith Hamad, and Zain Ramadan, all 16 years old.
Soldiers also invaded the village of Deir Nitham northwest of Ramallah, broke into the home of Mujahid Mohammad al-Tamimi, and abducted him after searching the property.
Also in Ramallah in the central West Bank, Israeli soldiers closed the Ein Siniya military roadblock north of the city, causing a prolonged traffic jam as the army stopped dozens of vehicles, searched them, and interrogated many residents while inspecting their ID cards.
These invasions and abductions are part of the ongoing Israeli military campaign across towns, villages, and refugee camps throughout the occupied West Bank.
On Tuesday evening, Israeli soldiers abducted three Palestinians, including a 12‑year‑old child, during a military deployment in the Old City of Hebron.
Earlier Tuesday, the soldiers invaded multiple areas across the West Bank, breaking into homes, abducting Palestinians, shooting two young men with live ammunition, and setting fire to a residential building during ongoing military operations in Jenin in the northern West Bank, Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, and Hebron in the southern West Bank.
