Abu Obaida, the spokesperson of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, said in a video statement that the number of soldiers and senior military commanders killed and captured by the resistance is much higher than what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, are admitting to.

Addressing Netanyahu in a statement made through the Al-Aqsa Satellite TV, Abu Obeida said: “You have to count your soldiers well; do not underestimate the figures; we have hundreds captured and held in every part of Gaza and around it.”

“The Israeli army collapsed like locusts in front of our fighters in the ‘Al-Aqsa Deluge Operation,’ threatening Gaza and its people is a losing game and a broken record.” Abu Obeida stated, “Our operation is ongoing in defense of Gaza, Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa, and the detainees. The enemy knows very well the extent of its losses.”

Abu Obeida also said that the fighters targeted more than 50 locations across the border and added that the Palestinian fighters exchanged fire with the soldiers in at least 25 military bases they managed to infiltrate.

His statements came in response to statements by Netanyahu in which he said Israel will use all of its power to eliminate Hamas, adding that “We [Israel] will strike them until the end, and we will avenge this dark day inflicting on Israel and its people.”

Netanyahu also called on the Palestinians in the already besieged Gaza Strip to leave the coastal enclave, adding that Israel will operate everywhere, with all its might…”

Israeli Ynet News quoted official authorities in the country early Sunday morning confirming that at least 300 Israelis have been killed and dozens captured, adding that at least 1590 have been injured and evacuated to hospitals, including 312 in critical conditions. At least 750 Israelis are missing, many to be believed in the hands of the Al-Qassam Brigades.

Ongoing Israeli Airstrikes on various parts of the Gaza Strip, including many residential and commercial towers in Gaza City, in addition to many homes in Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun, Rafah, Khan Younis, and Gaza City; some of the homes are for senior political leaders of the Hamas movement.

Early Sunday morning, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said 256 Palestinians, including 20 children, have been killed, and at least 1788, including 121 children, have been injured in ongoing Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip.

Overnight and at dawn Sunday, the Israeli army bombed dozens of homes and residential towers, including Watan Tower in the center of the Rimal neighborhood in Gaza, which also includes more than 100 apartments, clinics, and media centers. The army also destroyed many homes owned by leaders of the Hamas movement in Gaza.

Many Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured when the army bombed Palestine Tower in the Shaboura neighborhood in Rafah, the Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, and many homes in Beit Hanoun.

The Palestinians are still looking for survivors under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, including many journalists. All figures regarding deaths and injuries are estimates due to the intensity of the ongoing operations.
