The Israeli army said on Friday that its forces abducted more than 70 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank over the past week, claiming it also “confiscated 12 weapons” and seized 100,000 shekels.

The announcement came as Israeli forces carried out new overnight invasions and additional abductions in several governorates, alongside escalating attacks by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers.

Before dawn Friday, Israeli occupation forces invaded multiple neighborhoods in the city of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, including Ad‑Dahiya, Al‑Ma’ajin, and the Schools’ Street, in addition to the town of Beita, and several other areas, stormed homes, searched them, and ransacked their contents.

Media sources said soldiers abducted Mohammad Amin Al‑Qoqa and Raed Al‑Qoqa after interrogating their families inside their homes.

In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the Al‑Hawouz area and abducted two young men after surrounding several homes and conducting extensive searches.

Residents reported that soldiers blocked roads with military vehicles and interrogated families before withdrawing.

In the Jerusalem governorate, Israeli forces carried out a large‑scale invasion of the town of Ar‑Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, where soldiers stormed homes, searched them, and abducted many Palestinians while holding others for field interrogation.

Local sources said soldiers deliberately damaged furniture and personal belongings during the invasion.

These incidents occurred amid a broader escalation of military operations across the West Bank, where soldiers have been invading towns nightly, installing military roadblocks, and detaining Palestinians during home searches and vehicle inspections.

Since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have abducted more than 21,000 Palestinians across the West Bank, while army and colonizer attacks have killed over 1,111 Palestinians and injured nearly 11,500, according to Palestinian rights organizations.
